I have another stupid cold & fever atm so I hope I don't type anything too stupid. Please remember that the deadline for the IchiIshi fic contest is coming up. [Poll #1814964]

Expand your speculations as to what's up next in Bleach in the comments. I know you wanna. As for me, I'm still excited about all the neon lights the Arrancar got in last week's Jump.

Oh, again, changes coming w/[livejournal.com profile] bleachness in February. Posting access, Dreamwidth move, that sort of thing. I'll be sure to make any new rules as clear as possible.

Calling it a "summary of Jump Festa" from someone named Kakarouto, Tatai first posted the information from a French forum in the Interviews with Kubo section on BA on Dec 22 2010 here. [livejournal.com profile] desgaron  then posted the information on a thread here at bleachness with some legwork on verification of sources. What emerged is that Kakarouto has a friend who works at Square Enix Europe and because of this was able to attend a press conference at JF where the most amazing parts of the French report came. Those part are (copied from [livejournal.com profile] desgaron 's comment):

- Kubo has recently put his entire scenario on paper to make the story more exciting. (For the next 10 years)

- He works with his assistants and his publisher to expand the script and make it consistent to the maximum.

- He is very proud of the plot he had prepared and began to know how he wants to finish Bleach.

- In the first place, Grimmjow wasn't meant to be an important character, he was to quickly die. But as of now, his existence will eventually matter for the future of the manga.

- Normally the Arrancar arc shouldn't be too long. It's thanks to the craze for Japanese fans for the Arrancars, without it, the arc would have been shorter.

- The end of the Arrancar arc should have been the end of Bleach if it didn't work and if the publisher had asked Kubo to finish the manga quickly.

The information seems reliable but has yet to be confirmed by other attendees of said press conference.  If there are any Grimmjow fans out there with any information from his bloggers who know of about whether or not GJ's importance in the future of the manga has indeed been confirmed by Sensei, I'd appreciate sources.

*still hasn't slept since before New Year's Eve* XD

Now I understand that omake btwn Ichigo and beret!Rukia about Ishida's role in the movie! <3 Can't wait for the next installment. The fights really do sound good; hope the movie does well in dvd sales even if it disappoints at box office.

Deviantart link again because the fullsize image is huge (click download).

Picture is based on my impressions from seeing Ulquiorra's three forms the first time and impressions based on the evolution of his character.

I do have another experimental painting WIP but I can't guarantee I will get it done.

*raises palm* I solemnly swear, I will try my hardest NOT to Rule34 this.

PLEASE DON'T TWEET KT ABOUT THE FOURTH SPINE WITH GGIO AND BARRAGAN. THE OTHERS ARE OKAY BECAUSE THEY'RE OLD

The first three spines may be old news to some people, but I know that not everyone here frequents BA. The fourth, however, is brand-new.

And we have Neliel, Nnoitra, Tesla, Loly, Menoly, Halibel, Ggio, Barragan, Soifon... )

As usual, please don't tweet KT about this or use it as your twitter avatar.

There's no need to spoil Japanese readers or make KT angry.

Luppi and Yammy this time! )

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: DO NOT TWEET KUBO ABOUT THIS.

PLEASE, DON'T SPOIL THE JAPANESE FANS ON KUBO'S TWITTER.

MzD provided the scans and most of the translations here. For more see the BA thread about Volume 42

The doodles are hilarious. MzD thinks there should be a sexual violence warning for the last two images.

Doodles! Kon Vs Boobs! )

Poem translation by Toto:

Shock of the Queen

There is no world without sacrifice
Are you unaware?
We are
In a sea of blood, ashes floating in hell
Crying the name of
A fading world.

Again with the name resonance like in FTB. Kubo's emphasis on names reminds me of my own culture. In my Jewish mystical tradition, there's the idea that naming something creates it or gives it identity--that's why one respects the very word G-d and doesn't write it out because any naming of the subject would belittle that which defies definition. I know Bleach isn't Kabbalah or whatever but I like the poetic care that Kubo-sensei gives to his character's names, even ret-conning Rukia's name to mean "a ray of light" to Ichigo long after he'd come up with it and years of volumes had been written. And how giving a name (as to the twins in the movie) allowed them to pass on as distinct identities after Death. And how calling a name means you cherish that name's holder ( Morita-kun's "Rukiaaaaaarghhhhhhh!") In this poem, all I come away with is that loving the world is what makes it real and keeps it alive. One has to wonder why Hollow let themselves exist. Their very searching to ease their pains, whether those pains are Starrk's loneliness or any one of the sins of the Lust arc unsatiatied--starved gluttony, unreleased rage, beaten down pride--this searching for relief IS their life. And that makes Hollow just like us right? We live in part to just fulfill our desires and ease our pains.

We live for higher things too, though, and that's what separates us from the heartless. But I so love Kubo's Arrancar, each of his Espada with their pretentious assignations and aspects of Death, and all the care Kubo-sensei put into making us love these bad guys who, at the very beginning of the manga, were just monsters in the night.

Is there someone in this comm who needs spoiler warnings? Aren't  most of us early-rumors-before-the-leaks kind of people? XD
Anyway, spoilers below for recent chapters, esp 273

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_debbiechan_/

Here it is. Usual warnings apply. Hard R, sex and violence, yaoi and het, fluff and dread.

Oh LJ, why must you play with my formatting?? >.<

Someone on BF mentioned that someone on NF had discovered a Patrick Ulquiorra designer in Japan and that Kubo-san may be getting names from some very stylish people.

So I went to look for the thread:

Patrick Ulquiorra et al

Calling certain design student at MIT! Alexandra! May we have your attention please!
[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_debbiechan_/
The fillers are officially over with episode 109 and looky who's coming now!

Now my wish for the manga is that very soon the Visored will show up and go one on one all those freaks that sit around Aizen's tea table.
Could make for an interesting bloodbath--considering how the main boys (Chad, Ichigo, Ishida) never seem to kill anyone (I'm calling Chirucci not dead)
