Oh man. I want to read hordes and hordes of Byakuya-Kenpach fics. They're so domestic and bitchy and fun :D

The Ichigo now has equal powers to Aizen doesn't really surprise me.

But I have to wonder if it means that since the pimpcoat has some relation to powers, does Renji's fur-skull-coat-thing have any significance?
No one else seems to have wardrobe change with their bankai. Hmmm.

Also, is it me or does Kenpachi look a wee starved in some panels? Ichigo starved made sense (God, feed the boy, someone feed him!) but Kenpachi and starved sounds - odd. Probably just me.

As for the translations - I wish I could mash both up. Certain parts of the other makes more sense. Argh. I do too wish I could read Japanese. It has become an oft-repeated wish especially after DGM chapters. Sigh.

It's funny how young Ichigo is in this chapter. Where the buff guy? Instead he looks like the teenager he is compared to Captain Mom. Speaking of which, I think she'd be a scary strategist given the option.
I like the mirrored images of Kenpachi and Byakuya....how many times this chapter? The fact that Bya actually swears...interesting...no matter which translation you are looking at ( one says "shit" and the other "damn"). and I'm wondering who they are really saying "You're in my way" to.
I think they just like pushing each others buttons. Bring on the fanfics!

I really hope Ichigo's childlike appearance and stature are not hinting to something coming in chapters to come. Can a child take on Aizen? Well, maybe if you're going by Shonen rules or something.

Either way it makes me uneasy. And WOW! Unohana is one strong woman.

I think it's just Kubo's personal take on the series. He realized after a long while that Ichigo is still a kid compared to his other characters, so maybe he's drawing him like that again to remind him and the reader that no matter how full of hax his powers are, Ichigo is still a kid. With all of the sudden rush for the return to the Old!Bleach material (the novel comes to mind) it seems like Kubo missed Dorky!Ichigo as much as us, and it was nice to see him act like that again after so long. So I personally don't think it's plot related. We'll see srs!Ichigo soon enough (especially when Rukia is around tee hee hee~).

Exposition-time! I for one am glad we actually get an explanation for the clothes-go-poof thingamajig. Also this could explain his lack of ability to control his mask... which means that it wasn't inner drama, but just that his MP hadn't been recharged all the way up and he simply ran out of it.

Which is a rather boring and drama-lacking explanation, but... well, what can you do. Meanwhile, Yammy is not even the main focus of the fight anymore. Why am I not surprised...

He may be low on reiatsu from being worn out fighting but then again, I'm not fully sure he isn't at 100% already ... because his regeneration restored his body but not his clothes. He only THINKS that Orihime was the one who healed him because usually his clothes come back (regeneration doesn't restore clothes--only her rejection of reality does). So Ichigo's confused about what really happened...

so we're obviously a little confused about what his power level could really be right now.

These translations are *censored* TERRIBLE and whoever *censored* these out of their *censored* ought to be *censored* right in their *censored* ear.

Oh, we generally do take the translations with a grain of salt, especially when they're confusing like this. The early scanlations almost always sacrifice quality for speed. This chapter is one of those cases where I'm going to wait for a trans from Ju-Ni or maybe Max7 before deciding to kick Orihime off a building for healing Ichigo's clothes before Ishida's hand and stomach what Ichigo's is really trying to communicate here. Due to the flashback it looks like he's talking about when Orihime healed him after the fight with Nnoitora, but the translation makes it sound more recent, so... we're just going to have to wait and see.

Now I'm really confused - why would Ichigo only having half his reiatsu be a good thing *scratches head* Ah, I never work this stuff out!

I also seem to be shipping Bya/Ken, despite not actually wanting to *rolls eyes* But srsly, those two bicker like a married couple! Bya is so scathing and disinterested in everything... and some of the images in this chapter more than make up for the dodgy quality on the anime (bottom left on p12 especially <3)

The mangafox version is a bit dodgy with the translation though, especially on p18 when Kenpachi says "I think I'd like to try you out for myself once!!" o_O

i think it's really saying something when unohana, the last person you'd think to be shaken by someone's reiatsu, is freaking out. maybe kubo-sensei's trying to assure readers that ichigo really can take out aizen? personally i think, after all the insane battles he just fought, ichigo deserves a break :)

This chapter reminded me of when Ichigo called out Zangetsu for the first time against Urahara and Urahara is like "you're a scary kid" meanwhile Ichigo is sleeping so adorably.

This chapter almost felt like an omake to me. Don't get me wrong, It was good, but I cracked up all the way.

Come on, Unohana's WTF face was priceless.Byakuya and Kenpachi are fighting each other while Yammy is not dead yet, then not only Byakuya curses (that's one for the books) but both him and Ken-chan tell Yammy to back-off because he's in the way. It's almost as if they see Yammy as not enough of a battle for them.

Meanwhile in garganta, Ichigo is just dumb and cute and pointing out that 'this' little bit of sleeve is all the reiatsu he has left. And he just looks so cute holding his arm up for Unohana to see.

I loved the chapter. Lots of Byakuya sexiness it's alright by me!

Bya was SO sexy this chapter. Cussing does that to a noble man. Also his being desired by Kenpachi ... if only to battle with, of course... ahem.... yes, this was a very fun chapter.

Once you get past the confusion over the freaking clothes and Ichigo's power level, it's all Unohana's sparkly reiatsu path, Ichigo's special goober face, and Nii-sama and Ken-chan being too cute together for words while Yammy thrashes around them like something from an old Japanese horror flick. Lovely stuff. I'm going to so miss Bleach for a WHOLE WEEK.

Damn, that woman's scary. One look and she freaks the hell out of Ichigo. His face there was amusing. Actually, a lot of his faces were amusing. It's interesting seeing Ichigo's naivety being paired with Unohana's coldness. The boy is so lost and confused now, while Unohana is calculating and is using him. I kinda like it. I would actually love to see a manipulative Unohana. It would be such a great contrast to her nice appearance and similar to what Kubo did with Shunsui.

And, hmm, this translation is confusing. Ichigo is either under the impression that Inoue was healing him as he woke up (which isn't what happened) or that she healed him after he woke up. I really hope it's the former. It would make sense, since I don't think that Ichigo is familiar with his regenerative abilities and I would be quite disgusted if Inoue was healing Ichigo first, while Ishida's wounds are far more dire.

Oh, Kubo. You truly have a knack for creating yaoi pairings. Who would have thought that Byakuya and Kenpachi would make such an amusing pair? Their interactions are really fun to watch :3

If Ichigo isnt' aware about his regenerative capabilities, i felt a bit confused, well, a hell of a confusion. I dunno if I'm able to explain myself. but if he thinks Inoue healed him then when he believes the "thing" appeared. Because, he is aware about the "thing", right? or he just have a light idea about the "thing"

This is so confusing, in one hand he knows he killed Ulquiorra and stabbed Ishida (his freaking zanpakutou is in the gut of his friend) and then he though about that "thing" that didn't let him to put his mask again.

In the other hand, he saw himself without the hole after the battle and was surprised by it. So, was that the time when he though Orihime had healed him?

I need a dome scene. Because someone could've lied in order to calm him. Or denied him important information for his sake? (Inoue and Ishida?)

Dear Ichigo, if your clothes are related to your reiatsu ok but if they aren't it's just Kubo covering your dangly bits and the fan girls will be furious! So furious I need some heads up so I can hide and possibly prepare a shelter for the fallout.

Unohana is getting some development, and I might have a fanboy crush on her because of the scaryness. Given that she has seen Orihime's ability and I can only assume she has a minor idea of what it actually is, so she should know wether Ichigo is full of hot air.

Unohana seems to be quite sincere about Ichigo's potential. I like that she is able to heal him while running.

I'm not going to get into any more discussion on when did Orihime heal Ichigo but I am quite amused over Kenny and Byakuya's bitching over who gets to kill Yammy. I expect that Yammy will pull one major move before joining Emospada and the rest of the gang. As for who gets to do the honors, I think Urahara will pop in......or as a dark horse candidate, Ishida returns with Orihime and shoots Yammy.

Please Kubo, for the love of God, give us an update on how the other two are doing on the Dome. Is Ishida okay? Is Orihime okay? How they going to react when they realize their leader just left them?
