BLEACHがインドで映画化決定しました。歌ありダンスありの大冒険活劇。ルキア救出と同時に3000人 のカラフルな護廷十三隊士達が踊り狂う壮絶なラストが見所です。一護役はマイケル富岡さん、ル キア役は木ノ 実ナナさん。

BLEACH will be adapted into an India movie version (Bollywood). It will be a great adventure with wonderful singing and dancing. Rukia's rescue with 3000 people from the colorful gotei-13 squads, guys from 11 squad dancing in ecstasy and a grand final scene could be seen. Ichigo's role would be played by Michael Tomioka-san. Rukia's role would be played by Kinomi Nanase-san

Thank you Syn and Zan for the update and poster images about movie 4 that came out with this week's Bleach chapter. Looks like the movie is going to feature Ichigo big bad Hollow form and is coming out next December. We'll be told more about the movie in the next issue of WSJ (two weeks from now--there's a break for Xmas) Side one of the poster with bloody Hollowfied Ichigo (click to enlarge) is hella cool with nifty textures and blood spatterings. Very creepy. The other side of the poster (click to enlarge) features a standard Kubo spread of amazing composition and fun perspective--does anyone want to comment on Aizen's swirly versus Ichigo's flowy and how the beam divides the deep hole from the upper city? Wait--what's Tousen doing there? If this is the movie, does Tousen live? Only two years to wait for a sub in English. *sigh*

Translation (by pikeish ) of text on the poster  The movie poster side features Ichigo's Hollow in "sumie-style" the poster says and it was drawn by Kudo, not Kubo (the other side, the one with Ichigo and the three villians is classic Kubo). Sumie style was used in ancient Japanese art to represent hell and demons like this picture of Emna.
( announcement text ) There was also a 4-panel Christmas omake of Ichigo in SS that came along with this chapter but hasn't surfaced yet and we don't have pictures of the spine yet either. I'll have those for you when they appear. All we know is that the spine is Rukia and it looks like Chad is going to be the third character of the year on the spine of 2010 WSJ Year of Bleach.

Looks like Kubo's participation in the Fade to Black movie is definite and real. Here's the latest.

It's a report about Bleach event in Japan. It's an event to congratulate Bleach movies, they have Kon and Renji's seiyuus as the MC. Looks like they have some 'spoilers' regarding the FtB, I have only translated that part.


-The recording was divided to 2 days, yesterday and today.
-The scenario is really thick.
-Kon and Renji got showtimes.
-Kon was in first day recording, Renji in second day.
-Characters that appeared are more than first and second movies, and particular characters also got their own spotlights.
-Ichigo is fighting against Ikkaku, Renji, Rukia and lots more people.
-Renji forgets about Rukia --> He also forgets that he could do Bankai and every memories about gaining bankai was lost also. Zabimaru (shikai) got it's spotlight after so long.
-The second half of the movie will based around regaining the memories.
-Those who had relation with Rukia's past are two children. (more information will definitely be a spoiler)
-Looks like when Ichigo is fighting against shinigamis, Rukia is with those children.
-The two children are pair of a boy and a girl. This is their first participation in Bleach for both of the children's seiyuus.
-Kon's last speech was quite touching and made Morita-san, "I cried a bit"
-Kubo-sensei came to the recording. He really fussed over theatrical elocution and made a lot of corrections.
-Kubo-sensei ate lunch while reading the scenario. He drew manga drafts during editing. He seemed so busy.
-Pierrot is now in the middle of production.




Also the 5th CM came out today and it belongs to Renji. Renji: "What is... this nostalgic feeling? Urgh, it's no good, I can't remember."

I'm having a total spazz attack over Kubo's involvement with this movie. Drawing manga and eating lunch but still finding time to correct Morita's voice acting! I love those two together--I wish I could've seen that.

And the new CM tickles the RenRuki shipper in me--although poor Renji doesn't remember and in Ichigo's last CM, Ichigo was all "I will never forget you, Rukia!" I want a Byakuya CM next! Up-to-date details about the Fade to Black: Calling Your Name movie in this post by syneiam  here.

My IchiRuki pals are getting me excited about this movie. The promoters are getting me excited about this movie. I didn't think it was easy to top the musicals for over-the-top romantic shippy innuendo but the two voice clips from purported actual dialogue from the film are Ichigo saying "Rukia is the one who changed my world" and Rukia saying "Your name--say it again." Damn. Well if that doesn't yank at my romantic little self as much as I resist. I really pray there's no physical intimacy in the movie (as there was in the Inuyasha movie) before Kubo gives it to us, though. The pair almost hand-holding like in the musical (that was so cute and tense!) would be fine but NO mooshiness in my IchiRuki, please! :yell.

The new tankoubon cover has been announced--it belongs to Mayuri!  I'm looking forward to the poem more than I am another pic of the pharoah headdress. Mayuri is primo Kubo-poem material.  And in his bout with Szayel, he distinguished himself as a "true scientist" while Kubo down-played the sadistic bent Mayuri had displayed in SS.  Szayel was the "let's have fun torturing people" one, and Mayuri came off a little nobler. He's still utter Evil, though. And one of my favorite characters--to hate, that is. (And I'm still hoping that one day a Quincy arrow shot by Ishida Ryuuken will go right through the dude's brain!)

As I type this, Hurricane Gustav is hammering the Louisiana coast and should reach where I live within a couple hours. Three years ago before the deadly Katrina hit, I managed to finish drawing an Ishida on my graphics tablet before we lost power. This storm looks to be far less furious but if you don't hear from me for some days, don't worry--we're on high ground here, and I'm a storm pro. We've probably just lost power is all. But pray that my little tangerine tree survives the high winds.

I took pics yesterday of trees I feared might be uprooted and gone in the storm--one pic was of my Unhappy Hueco Mundo Hime and Voodoo Ishida resting in the shade of my citrus tree.

I have a confession to make. I saw the first Bleach movie and I haven't seen any since. Why? I can't stand anime movies. The timeline disruptions hurt me. For some reason I can't see them as video-fanfic--not even to appreciate the quality animation. I try.... But I was traumatized once upon a time. In one of the later DBZ movies Chibis Goten and Trunks fought a resurrected Hitler  Although years after first viewing the dubbed version, I could appreciate that movie on another level of yuck-yucks, I never really got over the shock.

First thought when I heard there was going to be a Hitsugaya movie was yey, orin  is going to love it (and possibly draw more Hitsugaya!) but I'LL PASS.  First thought when I heard of the Rukia movie was damn, my Annie got her wish. When Rukia finished 2nd in the popularity polls, she demanded a Rukia movie. So far, that's what it looks like--Rukia's the poster girl. We have very little else except this official website and the confirmation that Kubo Tite himself gave the movie its title and subtitle: Fade to Black: Calling Out Your Name (In the one sound clip we have, Morita hams it up calling RuKiaaAAAAaaaaaAAAAGH the way only Morita can).

One of my friends will probably force me to watch this movie (I'm currently being persuaded to watch the Hitsu movie for the Kubo Tite extra interview it will sell with) but the fuss about it is more fandom fun for me. Thanks again to Mezzo who found another comic on a Japanese fansite.

Does everyone in Japan draw really well or what? It's like the place is exploding with awesome fanartists and doujinshi artists.

It bothers me to no end that the animation for Bleach movies is so good but the stories are so lame.
