bleachnessoh sweet Lord, Kubo. This is truly the only attack that can challenge Fornicarius. And I don't know how they can get away with calling Bleach a shounen anymore. I know that there were little penis shots of chibis in the original Dragonball but this.... this has somewhat another connotation.
Ishida's reaction is funny too. Can't wait for the scan.
Yes, the pacing of this fight (and everything else in HM) annoys me, but if Kubo was under pressure to stall (for the sake of the anime catching up, for the sake of thickening the Bleach merchandising possibilities), he's got to keep pulling out the jokes, lol, like this one if he wants me to bear it.

Ishida continues of being somewhat "ridiculed"...its funny, but even i had enough.

Date: 2007-10-19 02:22 pm (UTC)Hate to say this, Jasse but I'm nearly 100% positive that the Szayel fight isn't over. The last time Szayel wore that expression on his face was when we all though Ishida's arrow had finished him.
I don't think that Don and Pesh will get this victory. I still think that Red and White have something do. Likewise, with the Nel battle--I think Ichigo may return to the forefront. Kubo won't let his mains get upstaged by the noble Hollow helpers. He just wanted to make a point about them: Hollow, sympathetic. Hollow are our friends.

I just wish for everyone to die and Bleach to end at this point. Like, seriously. I don't know how Kubo can maintain this AWFUL pace that makes his readers SO upset.
In the end we learned next to nothing during the past 50 chapters, the whole arc is a waste of time.
I'm not thanking Inoue for going there, really.

Ishida's response is hilarious-- a couple panels of shock and then there's some comedy--ah, I won't spoil it for you--the scans should be out soon! The chapter end is yet... another cliffhanger.

Really--after all that's happened to the Desert Bros and Red and White... and geez, Chad and Rukia... I appreciate it that Kubo gives us a break.
And I think that Ishida's really likable in this chapter.

Date: 2007-10-20 05:20 am (UTC)I am not liking Ishida or Renji..I miss the SS Renji and Ishida...and I want those two back. and Ishida is being inconsistent, he better be thinking about trying to do something, because joking in such a horrible situation is NOT i repeat NOT consistent with the Ishida i know.
Ishida thought of quick solution out of his problem, and made an impression that even his haters appreciate in SS arc. Ishida is a comical person, but he is a very serious/ruthless/composed person in battle. thats how ishida was portrayed. him taking a jibe about "whatmacallit" is too unbelievable for someone in his sad injured state. People were bashing Ichigo's behavior, but Ishida and Renjs' aren't any better in this chapter.
I don't like whats Kubo is doing to my fav characters and the characters i like. Kubo isn't doing ishida a favor by making him the butt of jokes even when he is in a horrible state..I am sick of the whole homo/coward/weak/glasses...I expected Kubo to shred and fight these misunderstanding, but what he's doing now is only reinforcing that.and yes, he deserves better, he put alot on the line to be in this mission.
and i hate thes pervertedness thats going on...it was kinda of "funny" at first, but its gettin out of hand.

But...as many people, I miss the tension of the battles... the jokes are good, but Kubo is spending a lot of time in just that...especially with Ishida... I want to see him serious again, fighting so hard to reach Orihime (because he went to HM for her, although he doesn't dare to say it.)
poor Uryuu, dying slowly and Pesh making fun of his seele schneider...lol
