Did the immortal Szayel transform himself into a paramecium? Did he drink Nemu's blood? He did something with Nemu....
I think he's going to slither away except that seems to be him standing in Christmas Tree form in a bottom panel.....
Who knows?  VIVA SZAYEL!!!!



I wrote at BA that I'm fine with this being the end of the fight--a live Szayel is all I wanted. Now if he does something like crawl up Ishida's butt or into Renji's ear and we get that whole DBZ "Adventures inside Buu" I'm going to cry.

I would think there is something more to Szayel's Zanpakuto. There is more to his release powers. Not sure if turning into blob of goo would equivalent to Mayuri being a blob of goo himself from his own Zanpakuto. Since most of Kubo Tite characters almost mirror each other, except Zommari (laughs).

Byakuya and a pumpkin... yeah, that one wasn't a mirror. It was awesome, though. Byakuya making pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.

I can't imagine any more Szayel powers--but then again, my imagination is puny compared to Kubo-sensei's. I still guess Szayel has glory to come though when whatever he's found out about Ichigo's reiatu during that little reiatsu-gathering spree is finally revealed.
