Stupid poll time--this time with a romantic metaphor!

Much to my amusement, I heard friends of mine recently describing their relationship with Bleach as "the world's longest one night stand." That is, Sensei has this habit of delaying gratification--as with the mysterygami episode and now with the invasion of the Seireitei, he sets us up to expect something and then switches modes. One friend compared it to a lover who gets you all hot and bothered and suddenly goes ADHD and tries something else (like Allon being Allon, a fugly fodder Quincy who no matter how much he reveals about the Quincy is still fugly fodder, and new characters no one really cares much about). Damn it all--audiences want to see the destruction of SOUL SOCIETY!

Anyway, I was wondering about how people view their relationships with the manga vis a vis romantic metaphors.

The booty call choice is so apt. Only now it kind of feels like I'm cheating on my boyfriend (Wholock) when I have that booty call with Bleach.

LOL yeah, I feel the same about One Piece now. I don't like being critical of Kubo, but then Oda consistently puts out well-paced chapter after well-paced chapter. It's hard sometimes.

Haha, I feel like Oda wasn't The One. His style wasn't my match though--as appealing as it was. I need to pick up the manga again (it's daunting--so behind). I still pick up Kishimoto occasionally though even though I dislike him the most out of the Big Three--but Naruto is about to end and I'm curious. Kishi really feels like a failed relationship to me--and I used to love Naruto so much. By contrast, Bleach never failed me that way.

Yeah, the Beeb have stated that Sherlock #3 won't start filming until early 2013, so you're right to doubt it appearing until the middle of that year.

At least we have Cowboys vs aliens vs Doctor Who vs John Crichton to look forward to in the meantime?
