Bleach 381 Spoilers

Err, since no one else's posted - 381 spoilers are up over here at BA.


Yeah, I was actually expecting the captains to get Ichigo as far away from the fighting as possible at the moment - he's in no shape to take on Aizen. And how is he supposed to keep from looking at Aizen's shikai?

Looks like Byakuya has some doubts, at least.

Oh well. Looking forward to the Mayuri-Byakuya interaction, and more Unohana :), though I'd really hoped we'd see her fighting soon.

The pace slows down yet again, Yammy becomes even more of a joke (okay, don't much mind that one), and the Captains make good of Ichigo's present immunity to Aizen's shikai by... bringing him in plain view of that shikai. Brilliant.

Yeah, I have to wonder if the captains (or some of them) don't have a secret plan and are going to smuggle him away until the next fight, but - eh, I dunno.

Seems like a setup for Ichigo to get trashed royally IMO. He is in no shape to fight, let alone face Aizen the Big Bad. The fact that he's all chest thumpingly declaring "rah rah I'll fight Aizen", is nothing but a classic Kubo fakeout to show how badly and viscerally he'll be owned and how far he has to go in terms of power and training.

Hm. They seem to have faith in the Ichi!Beast which Mayuri no doubt knows of considering he's "bugged" Ishida. But none of them know he can't call it up now, right? And what are they going to do, take out Ichigo's eyes?

Transition chapter and the devils DID have a reason for scooting Ichigo back to the battle--because they think he can win. LOL, this is just setting him up for a massive failure. Ichigo has to go insane and be so pwned by Aizen somehow because Aizen still has to lead us into another arc where he continues his ebil.

Maybe Unohana will adjust/fix/heal Ichigo's garments before he goes into battle. Boy can't fight all naked like that!

LOL, didn't the captains just see Ichigo get pwned by Yammy? And they think he can take on Aizen, who is much stronger? Yup, this is all setting up for Ichigo's failure.

Ichigo can defeat Aizen? Lol yeahright. Back in SS on that final showdown on the hill Aizen was owning everyone left, right and center without even using his hypnosis ability, throwing high grade kidou spells around and stopping bankai with his bare hands. And we've NEVER seen the man get serious yet. With that difference in level and control, it shouldn't mean a thing that Ichigo hasn't seen Aizen's shikai; he should still get royally pwn'd.

What are the captains thinking? It almost feels like Ichigo is being used as cannon fodder. With Soul Society's lack of scruples concerning ethics, I wouldn't be surprised if they would be ruthlessly pragmatic enough to just use Ichigo to observe and analyze what chances someone with his abilities (IchiThing) who hasn't been affected by Aizen's shikai has. Though I don't really want to think that Unohana (<3) would go along with that.

Kubo has deprived me of my ship-source of angst - Ulquihime. He could have at least given me something for my ship-source of fluff - Ishihime. But still no Ishida and Orihime. *sad monkey* c;_;c

Not gonna pass a final judgment until I see the chapter, but I'm getting two possible outcomes of this:

They're ALL under Aizen's control, and Aizen has requested the presence of the strawberry for whatever reason.

They're using Ichigo as bait. For Isshin. BD

Ooh, hadn't thought of either of those. Interesting! Especially since if they're using Ichigo to draw out Isshin, they must know their relationship -- which Byakuya obviously didn't back in SS. Urahara could have told them, but I'm not sure he'd have done that.

Oh well, yet another week of waiting to see what happens.

There is about to be some major, MAJOR fail (which I dread seeing, really) or something's going to happen before Ichigo starts trying to fight.

C'mon, Kubo! When we left the dome in spring and I said 'Great, now we won't see Ishida till Christmas!' I was trying to be overly pessimistic. Looks like I might not have been pessimistic enough. :/

This is SO INCREDIBLY STUPID of the captains that I'm assuming they have ulterior motives that they are trying to fulfill. Just, this can't actually be what they're planning on doing.

That was one of the most horrifying, and in retrospect, hilarious pages in Bleach. That was without Ichigo seeing Aizen's shikai, and you know what, Ichigo is probably about that level of power right now. Forget illusions - even without it, Aizen is excellent at kidou and swordplay, undoubtedly stronger than Ichigo. I mean, he was only a shinigami for 100 years+.

No, this is a set-up for something. I refuse to believe until proven wrong that this isn't a very elaborate plan on Urahara/the captains' part. Because after all, the only one truly suited to fighting Aizen and his Machiavellian brain is *Urahara*.

In other new, I'm considering removing sole responsibility for Ichigo's hero complex from him. He's still at fault, but well, when there are ADULT CAPTAINS PILE-DRIVING IT DOWN YOUR THROAT THAT YOU ARE JESUS, I guess you don't have a whole lot of choice.

Truly. And you know what, I've just gotten through half of the Japanese spoilers...and what Ichigo's been saying really points to the fact that he doesn't know whether he saw that shikai...regardless of what he's saying in these spoilers. How he explains his fight with Aizen...yeah, I'm pretty sure he saw that shikai without realizing it, because yeah. He doesn't seem too aware of how the hell Aizen could fight like this. Also. I think some people didn't tell him that you don't need to call out the shikai to trigger it, especially if you're super strong like Aizen. And that specifically Aizen's shikai is both activate and deactivated by the same command "kudakero", so conceivable the moment he breaks his illusion he could just be summoning another one anyway. I can't imagine that Kubo would overlook that since he was so damn specific in making sure Aizen mentioned that to Unohana. I mean, just Unohana's words, "don't see Aizen's shikai at all costs" (roughly paraphrased) is logically impossible. The whole point of Aizen's shikai is that it's completely unavoidable unless you're blind like Tousen.

Then the Mayuri and Byakuya exchange in which Byakuya says that Mayuri believes in Ichigo's win...and Mayuri says that Byakuya is saying words not like himself.... I'm really torn between are the Captains truly using him (which I can believe and can swallow) or...are they all so helpless and stupid that have to rely on someone like Ichigo?? At this point, if this isn't a set up on the part of Urahara and the Captains then I'll be flabbergasted. Truly.

However, it's nice to know that apparently Nii-sama can intimidate Mayuri into spilling why he's staying with little more than pressured questioning and a glance. XD I love Nii-sama.

Oh you have got to be kidding me. They actually were planning on Ichigo fighting Aizen? This was their uber-genius plan?!! *facepalms*

Two things now make sense to me:
(1) How all the captains showed up in FKK and were like, “uhhh, what do we do now? Sure we’re here ready to fight, but Aizen’s ability makes things kind of complicated” -> cue Yammaji firing his giant fire cloud prison thingy allowing for more time to THINK about how to approach a battle that they have know was coming for MONTHS.
(2) Four captains, a vice captain, and an extra healer invading HM, putting themselves at a serious disadvantage, and cutting SS forces by about half in order to save a small number of – in their eyes – rebel/traitors.

Oh, yes, it all makes sense now – SS is full of idiots. They were depending on Ichigo to be in FKK to fight Aizen, so when their “secret weapon” ran away to HM they immediately trailed along after him. Bayakuya was no doubt relieved to have the excuse to go after Rukia, but the others . . . jeepers creepers! No wonder Kenpachi was like, “get the Hell back to FKK, stupid”. Ugh, Aizen being an evil genius is completely wasted on these people. Elmo with a high school diploma could probably convince them the chicken dance was as defensive maneuver.

Urahara, on the other hand, probably knew about SS’s plan and sent Ichigo to HM to try to prevent exactly this – impending epic Ichigo failage – so sad so inevitable. D:

BTW – I’m loving that theory up above about Ichigo just being Isshin bait – it is making me feel better about SS’s stupidity. *begins humming a happy tune*

If there's anything we've learned, it's that Soul Society can be bullheadedly stupid when it wants to be. I wouldn't be surprised if this is another instance of that. Of course, it IS Captain Mom, who does seem slightly wiser than the norm, but then again, that could be the fannishness talking.

I do like the idea of this being a ploy to draw out Isshin though. At the least, I trust that Isshin will not let Ichigo just up and lay Aizen flat without some SERIOUS consequences.

Did anyone else see the theory up on BA awhile ago that the Hougyoku is inside of Ichigo? Like, when Ulqi stabbed him in the neck forever ago he might have deposited it, since the reiastu was so intense that Orihime had trouble healing around it?

If that theory turns out to be true then not only is Ichigo set up for major failure in FKK but SS might be playing right into Aizen's hands by sending him and the Hougyoku to where they need it.

Also, doesn't it require a ton of spiritual energy to work? Isn't that why they're in FKK, because Aizen's going to use that energy to make the key? And, correct me if I'm wrong, won't a ton of captains and other Shinigami work just as well as a few dozen low grade psychics to make that happen?

Ichigo hasn't seen Aizen's shikai so they're sending him to fight Aizen who will undoubtedly release his shikai.

This chapter had a pretty bad/depressing feel to it...i mean, first we have ichigo being dragged off to the real world and being told that he's soul society's only hope just after he finds out his hollow powers are kinda broken.
Also, there's the conversation between byakuya and mayuri. Mayuri says ichigo has no chance of winning.

i can't wait for the upcoming chapters! i really sense a plot twist approching... :D
