subbed episode here!
(why is it that i don't have a hitsugaya icon when i need one? ¬_¬ dammit).
i know everybody's more focused on FTB today, but you know me, i can't help it, i've been waiting for this episode since this arc started ;)
my thoughts about the episode can pretty much be summarized as:
ASDFLKJHASDF HOLYCRAP BEST EPISODE EVER.
♥♥♥♥♥
i will not write down every single reaction i had to the hitsugaya plot because you guys will end up thinking i'm schizophrenic or something ^^;;; needless to say, it was very much what i was expecting. it all happened a bit too fast for my taste, but other than that i'm completely satisfied ^^
random comments about non-shiro-chan related stuffs:
_ok, tobiume isn't yandere, she's just a bitch. you know, i don't normally like hinamori much, but some times i feel for her. i did in this episode. *thumbs up*
_i loved the hinamori & matsumoto tag team =3
_i still don't get WTF is going on with muramasa. *desperately pulls on hair*
_koooonnnn! awww, i've missed the guy. lol. ^^;;;
up next week? byakuya, apparently. hmmm...

Date: 2009-09-30 09:38 pm (UTC)Oooh tobiume is so ugh. That's the only way I can describe her. Her twisted logic is strangely intriguing, though, and the way she just plays around with Momo psychologically is more evil than if she only physically hurt her. Bringing up Aizen over and over again does so much damage to Momo's psychological well-being...
OH! I love Momo and Rangiku teaming up!
Some character development for Momo and getting over Aizen... Too bad that's not happening in the manga. :(
Aww... poor Hitsugaya D: The face he makes when Hyourinmaru says "No way a kid like you is my master" is too painful to watch!
Hyourinmaru T.T He's just a lonely guy wanting a place to belong. Not unlike Hitsugaya.
So am I right in thinking that the anime hadn't animated Hitsugaya's back story until now? That's a shame. Personally I think they sorta rushed the back story, especially since Hitsugaya's story as a child is one of my favorite back stories.
All in all, Hitsugaya's battle with Hyourinmaru was, as was expected, epic. Towards the end, though, it was a bit overkill having Hitsugaya suspended in mid-air and being carried by Hyourinmaru. But I'm glad they have their bond back :)
(Personally I care very little what Muramasa is up to; I just like watching the characters reach their moments of epiphany with their zanpkautous.)

Date: 2009-10-02 01:45 am (UTC)toushirou icons! eeep. you win, i lose. T_______T
i really don't know what it is about tobiume... she never really did attack momo, did she? haineko at least tried to use that ash-attack thingy on rangiku. tobiume actually made me think of that kind of people that capitalize on others' weak aspects to make themselves look good/stronger-- in hinamori's case, aizen. it was actually rather smart given how hinamori was behaving not that long ago... but apparently momo's been working on it since. really, the little bitch should've known better than anyone. =P
hmmm. now i wonder if perhaps she capitalized on the aizen thing because aizen's betrayal of momo hurt her as well. zanpakutou and shinigami are connected, after all.
this is interesting. those two didn't get any resolution, not really (haineko was still calling matsumoto a hag even after they were captured, and her and tobiume were still arguing like harpies), so i wonder if they're actually going to bother showing us how they manage to get them out of muramasa's mental hold.
The face he makes when Hyourinmaru says "No way a kid like you is my master" is too painful to watch!
i knooooooow! ;______; i swear, when hyourinmaru finally went "master..." i just about bawled. so heart-wrenching! ♥ i don't particularly think hyourinmaru carrying shiro-chan was too overkill-- but then again, i always like moments where toushirou is inadvertently vulnerable like that, because i like when we're shown that even if he doesn't want to be seen as a kid, and he's not just any kid, he is still a kid, nonetheless. it's not a bad thing to be, and i like that side of him. i do think the lighting in that scene might've been a bit too much, though ^^;;;
i don't really care about muramasa either-- it's the not knowing part that gets to me.
