episode 238: friendship? hatred? haineko & tobiume

caught the episode half a week late, as always ^^;;; but i might as well check to see what everybody else thought...

i wasn't really that impressed with this episode-- i must admit that i found haineko & tobiume's bickering highly annoying, not to mention their trash talk session vs. matsumoto & hinamori... i just thought it was very pointless. and zabimaru still definitely holds the award for trash talking in this arc. and i am now more convinced than ever that tobiume is actually psycho on the inside... she's giving off yandere vibes like whoa.

also, i have no clue whatsoever 'bout what's going on with muramasa. i just don't get it at all, and quite frankly i'm not that interested.

i did, however, laugh like a madwoman when senbonzakura made that blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance. that was hilarious! it was so random. heh, i loved that. xD

as you might imagine, my part of the episode came towards the end.

the bastard made hyourinmaru forget.

oh, good going, anime team... the fight hasn't even started and i'm already halfway to bawling like a baby! ;_; seriously, i was expecting him to be angry. i was not expecting him to have forgotten all about toushirou. and good god, that hit me so hard. such desolation! poor thing. and i can't imagine what must be going through shiro-chan's mind now that his zanpakutou forgot about him.

*clutches her heart*

on the other hand, now that i have heard his perfect, perfect voice, i find myself fangirling hyourinmaru even harder ;) he is so awesome, seriously. i kind of understand where the bickering twosome is coming from in this case.

also, the omake WINS! LOL, shunsui, you scoundrel, you... xDDDDD

man, next episode is gonna be so good! ^^

I personally do not like Tobiume at all. She's like a little brat. (So this is how Momo really is, hehe) I can tolerate Haineko because in some ways she is similar to Matsumoto, and I like Matsumoto. And when she calls Hyourinmaru "Darling" it kills me (still thinking about last week's episode!).

BUT.

Hyourinmaru! I share your feelings on this subject. Hitsugaya is one of my favorite characters so of course I'm very interested in his fight with his own zanpakutou.

What a wonderful, heart-wrenching twist. I hate it and love it at the same time. Hate, because of the emotional implications for poor Hitsugaya but I also love it because it's a great twist. Hyourinmaru is so... cool >.< And all of a sudden, Hitsugaya's there. The way they meet is just... well, it has me bawling like a baby as well.

Can't wait til Tuesday!

yes! i noticed her going "darling" again! xD i love it ♥ it never fails to make me LOL because haineko seems like a more over-the-top matsumoto and i think it's hilarious because hyourinmaru seems like he's more cool-headed than mr. grumpypants herself ;) so those two in a scene together are obviously going to be the funniest thing ever.

i can't seem to get over poor hyourinmaru's dilemma. now that i think about it, it figures that muramasa would have to completely wipe his memories of toushirou in order to get him to come to the dark side-- i always assumed hyourinmaru and toushirou to have a very close and... solemn relationship. even from just their first scene in this arc, hyourinmaru did not look like the type who would easily turn on his shinigami: fighting against him to make him stronger somehow? not gonna work with toushirou. and i swear, i swear he looked sad in that first scene. well, as sad as an ice dragon can look, i guess...

so i was expecting it to be something different, yeah, but... oh, it still hit me so hard! ;_____; it makes total sense, really. i think the anime team is really getting it right this time around. you can bet i'm gonna catch this next episode on time! ^^

Hitsugaya/Matsumoto (and now Haineko/Hyourinmaru) interaction never fails to entertain me. I love them! Haineko/Hyourinmaru is like HitsuMatsu to the extreme. And yeah, Hyourinmaru is even more stoic and cool than Hitsugaya, which is quite something.

The Hyourinmaru brainwashing in combination with the whole back story about how Hitsugaya first learned of Hyourinmaru's presence is so emotionally taxing I think. I mean, when Ichigo first sees Hyourinmaru and we couldn't hear anything Hyourinmaru said but still could see that his lips were moving, that reminded me of how Hitsugaya could not hear Hyourinmaru at first.

He definitely did look disappointed when he found out Ichigo wasn't his wielder. TT.TT To make a zanpakutou even forget who he has an irrefutable bond with... so sad.

I do not know how close Hitsugaya and Hyourinmaru were though. I've always thought that they were in a relatively new relationship, considering Hitsugaya is still technically a child and discovered Hyourinmaru pretty late. But of course they do have a bond.

I think with Tobiume (and all the other zanpakutoh) while her (their) personality at the core might be the same as it is normally, she's slightly off due to Muramasa's brainwashing.

Normally she cares for Momo, to the point of mothering her somewhat and always being concerned for her well being. (Kind of like how Momo normally acted towards Toshiro) But once the brainwashing happened, she turned waspish and wanted nothing better than to kill the one she cared about. (Kinda like what happened with Momo)

i hope that's the case, because that girl is seriously starting to bug me. *shakes head*

i think she does care about momo, of course... but there is the possibility that she just may not be as nice as she seems (i mean, just take a look at kazeshini). after all, we know momo herself has a... well, not a "dark" side, but a less-than-stellar side. so perhaps tobiume could have that as well, but slightly more emphasized, in a way that muramasa can use that side of her to pull her to fight for his cause.

i don't know ^^;;; i just hope the bickering stops eventually.

Yes! I also find the bickering very annoying. I can understand the two Zabimarus' bickering, because they have always been close, heck they are even chained together. But they still work as a good team. The relationship between Haineko and Tobiume is all about who has sexappeal and catfights. I hope they won't continue like that even after they return to their wielders.

I KNOW. -_-;;; i mean, honestly, when haineko went to feel tobiume up to measure her breasts, i just found myself going: "WTF... you know, as this is anime, a scene like this would work in like every other situation... except this one." *shakes head*

I don't understand Tobiume and Haineko either, but as for Muramasa...he just felt like taking a walk through Hueco Mundo and going to a Menos rave, that was really random.

Tobiume and Haineko I think are just showing how Momo and Matsumoto really feel about each other because zanpactu are supposed to be alter ego... man the next episoe's going to be cold... I tink the Zabimaru think is halarius... I also htink part of zabirau's a girl because REnji is a bit sensitive at times... i'm not being sexist... what i really want to know is what is under Senbonzakura's mask?
