Please Kubo, keep your pavlovian sadistic sensibilities under check, please. I know the scenario is ripe for fantastic drama and wrenching of the gut, but please just let him fight for once without any illness related interruptions, I implore you.

Date: 2009-06-16 05:09 pm (UTC)This is something from BA that makes me facepalm: "Why does Uki interfere?? Wtf is he saying about the honor when Kaien was fighting a normal hollow... He knew Shunsui is strong so why interfere,, cant these guys be separated in a war or battle??"
Seriously, for once KT is actually showing these guys as the warriors they should be in a war. Thankfully, the comments following that are awesome. XD Now, if he'll keep up with dispensing with this one on one honourable business we'll all be good. If this goes the way I'm thinking then my guess is the only way to be Yammy will be via teamwork. Yay! =D If not, then I'll be satisfied to have Unohana kick his ass.
Ukitake better not get sick in the middle of this. Come one we need to show case his power, KT!

Date: 2009-06-16 06:53 pm (UTC)This! So true! That's what makes this so much more exciting than the other two fights. It doesn't matter whether you ship them or not, Shunsui and Ukitake are friends who care about each other, and that's well-established in canon.
This sounds like a really really short chapter but I guess the cool factor of seeing Stark's release and Ukitake saving Shunsui makes up for the brevity.
