It seems it is really hard to use it. * Ishida is scared, and then Ichigo uses a Sonido. Ulquiorra uses the "Lanza del Relampago" at a point-blank range. * But Ichigo stops the attack with his own hands. Ichigo defeats Ulquiorra, steps on his head and uses a Cero Hahaha, I love freak-out Wednesday. Anyway, surprise surprise NOT. The cover of Volume 38 is Hisagi. He looks yummy. I believe this wass the chapter that was either going to make or break my interest in bleach. I believe it has made it for me. haha.

Ulquiorra has already said that Orihime is safe--he said it before his fight with Ichigo, thus making it a power battle and not one over Orihime's safety. But Ulqui is the villain and so if he shows concern for anyone's safety (in this case, Ishida and Orihime?) it's interesting.
I thought that was obvious.

He said that . Also, he took off Ishida's hand when he could've easily killed him. He whipped him twice with his tail when he could've easily killed him. Obviously, he was not trying to kill Ishida.

and i loooove that ishida hasn't moved from orihime's side ♥ even a comforting hand on her shoulder, there. say what you want about him, but he knows what his priorities are. and boy knows how to take his chance even in the middle of an earth-shattering fight ;) gosh, i'm such a hopeless fangirl/shipper... *shakes head in amusement*

Date: 2009-03-25 02:29 pm (UTC)I suppose we do have to patient for more of the chapter for more context but it does bother me that she has the power to SHIELD AND HEAL and here is Ishida, with one injured arm, shielding her with his own body. She could heal him. She could throw up her shield. Of course, seconds are ticking by in manga time so it's only inevitable that she will as soon as freaky shit stops happening in the sky.
I bet Ichigo comes out of that blast with a new transformation! LOL

HOLY MOTHER OF MERCY. o_O I was NOT expecting it over this soon. That is so weird! I won't believe anything until I see the scans. Well, I guess if I think aobut it, this fight has been going on for a couple months now, so it's not short at all, but still. O_o
It ain't over til it's over.
Story-wise these things need to happen:
1) Ichigo needs to gain full control of his Hollow (apparently he doesn't have it--this chapter seems to make it clear that he's a danger to everyone around him and may have blown up Ulqui and his own nakama? In any event, Ichigo's still a beast and he has to come to consciousness as a humane Ichigo, stronger than before)
2) Ulquiorra needs to learn a lesson about the heart and we need his backstory--he's bigger than Nnoitra and GJ and been around longer. It's coming.
3) Orihime needs to become proactive
4) Ishida mentioned feeling useless on the battlefield--maybe he's got something to prove soon too.
No, there's a lot of story ahead, people. You just have to wait for it. Too bad it only comes at 20 pages a week, but that's all we get--Kubo-sensei WORKS VERY VERY VERY HARD.
