I was leafing through some of the doujinshi I got given and I found this, which I thought would amuse at least some folk in this comm *heh*

I've done a very rough translation of what's going on for anyone who can't read the Japanese...

This must've been an interesting meeting of the handicrafts club...

What gets me is that this wasn't in an Ishi/Hime doujin at all...LOL XD

I'm a little unclear on it myself. That's what he says, transcribing the katakana, but what his meaning was you'll have to ask someone more fluent in Japanese than me, I'm afraid :S (Gomen)

The only thought I had was that it could be some Japanese slang way of referring to that kind of doll but...I didn't know for sure so I just wrote it as he said it :S

I think that sort of doll is a kind of pillow called a "Dutch Wife." Don't ask me why but that's what they're called or so I heard. They're big pillows you hug instead of a person at night. I once saw one of Ryuuken (!) for sale and wanted it. Never saw one of Uryuu.

Ahh...actually that *might* be what he says. The second character after the "Da" is a "tsu" but it's smaller so I read it as being there for emphasis rather than a proper character in its own right. But "DATSU WAIFU" would make sense in that context :)

I'm very bad at Katakana as a rule anyhow. So that's probably the answer...
