I love fics that fill in the canon timeline and amplify canon moments and this--omg, I feel so much for Ichigo here. Like Neha said, there's that horrible poignancy about Ichigo once having been the fastest in the world and now having to run with all his human strength to go somewhere where there's not much he can do anyway--
