I'm particularly excited about this translation because that Ishida panel was one I always read as an expression of Ishida's "new feelings" towards Orihime--it made him a parallel to Hime, or made Ishida-->Orihime akin to Orihime-->Ichigo which is just basic H&C angsty storytelling, but to my surprise, there are PLENTY people in fandom denying that Ishida has feelings for Orihime at all.
eaouhtnsahnst abuhwha? People denying that Uryuu has feelings for Orihime...? Ahahaha wow XD I... always thought of Uryuu>Hime as being right up there in terms of canonicity as Ren>Ruki. Not quite so much Ori>Ichi since she... you know, got a three-page love confession etc., but still. Wow.
But "Ichigo's feelings for Rukia" is there--in Kubo-approved official material. It does reiterate what we already know from later chapters, that Orihime believes Ichigo has those feelings.... but the inclusion of that perception (and that amount of pain? Could you tell Hime was angsting that much back then? I couldn't? I thought Ishida was being pathologically overprotective, that's all) was ... unexpected this early.
Yeah. Well, you know. I've got my ship bias so obviously I don't want to interpret that as KT saying that Ichigo has feelings for Rukia and all ::laughs:: So! We shall see what unfolds in the actual manga. Although, in the actual manga, right now what I want to see the most is Orihime do something kickass like she finally deserves to again XD
