I'm not sure he won't deal with the HM-centric stuff off-screen and through flashbacks, because seriously, seriously... this is the and of the arc, and no one wants to go back there, the stuff happening right now in Karakura town - the fake one - is too much important and interesting for Bleach itself and the fans.
