I hate to dispoint you but with the exception of Rukia, Ichigo almost always reacted with boy crushes -- remember that worshipful look he gave Zaraki, and the eye intercourse with Ulq, the tender gaze he gave the fallen KittyGrim? No wonder at the Bleach fan fic the next biggest fic for Ichigo is yaoi (goes without saying that Ichiruki is biggest but do you know there are more Ichiren fics than there are Ichioris?) ;P
On the vow, I am as trill that KT had Ishida first 'I will protect you vow' given to Orihime. I do agree that this the beginning of a Ishida-Orihime bond.I would love see some acknowledgement or at least a rection from Orihime on Ishida's vow. Remeber Orihime was feeling sad thinking about Ichigo's real motive about coming to LN. She now knows that he is there to save her AND to fight, its not the same 'I will save Rukia no matter what' vow that Ichogo had during the SS arc.
Also KT make a point about Ichigo's mask and Orihime's adverse reaction to it, perhaps he is giving a way out for Orihime to recover from her first love crush on Ichigo. Ichigo is not the prince charming that Orihime fantasize about, she doesnt really know the real him. Her fivelife time loving vow is as real as a vow to an idol you love from a far, unrealistic.
Also I feel its Ishida who is the knight in the shinig amor type -- the one who really likes to look after his girl. Ichigo I think prefers an equal partner,a gril who would support and stand by him as he goes abot saving everyone. A girl who accepts him the way he really is, warts and all.
Anyway on the Rukia color spread, I am with those who really like it. I expect a cutesy Rukia spread, and yet again KT suprises me! I didnt expect a Matsumoto-Merlyn Monroe-d smexy Rukia! And yet again the naughty guy only shows glimpses of her outfit! I so want that necklace, if SJ is smart they would have it on their onlibe shop! :)
