General Bleach Question re Karakura

Hope I'm not spamming the comm, but has it ever been shown where in Japan Karakura town is? I always thought it was a mid-sized town/city just 'somewhere in Japan' but I saw something (can't recall what) that made me think it might be a suburb of (or at least close to) Tokyo. Has it's general location ever been shown on a map?

Just wondering.
