I think you captured a defining part of Ishida's character, that need to be in control. I can believe that he would resent being constrained in any way, even by a lover. Pitch-perfect. Renji'd better watch it; he's more likely to drive Ishida off than to seduce him if he steps too far over that line. Beautifully written, as always.
