How about he's a sadistic, manipulative bastard who is only along with Aizen because he sees him as the strongest side but would flip like a pancake if anyone stronger came along, but since he's here, he might as well get some laughs out of it, right? ;)

Plus I still think he has a soft spot for Matsumoto. I guess we'll see about that soon enough. (I hope.)
