Chad looks really yum on his color page, despite the lack of color. Maybe it's because I was disappointed that we didn't get Ishida this week that I'm a little disappointed in the lack of juiciness in this drawing but the sketchy quick contrasts of gray and light seem to suit Chad here. I swear that looks like a liquor bottle in his hand, though.



The fight is everything one could hope for--funnies and cool attacks and mystery and all the boys looking handsome when BAM, ban kai interruptus! It's exciting that Wonderweiss has shown up, the little adorable retard, but ahhhh, I wanted more mature men with cheekbones sexy fight.... maybe next week we'll get a little more before all the Espada are zapped away in negacion. Better yet, Kubo will surprise us and not do the expected End of Hypnosis parallel.

A picture of Chad and a mention of Hell in the same chapter--? Nah, I looking too much into things. I do want a Chad arc though... I can't wait for his future development and Kubo did say Chad would get his due. He deserves so much more. He's been called the Krillen and Yamcha of Bleach for years already and I want an exciting story about his emerging Hollow hellish powers. He, like Orihime, needs to find a reason to fight, beyond being an Ichigo fan.
